Our Goals For Every Design
• Define your must-haves first — we start by locking in your top 3 priorities (bigger patio, fire pit, privacy, etc.) so the design is built around what matters most.
• Dial in the style — we match the design to your home and taste (Modern / Contemporary, Transitional, Traditional, and Natural/Organic).
• Set a real budget target — this is the most important step because it directs the design decisions from start to finish and keeps the plan realistic.
• Design toward the end goal (even if phased) — we build the master plan with future phases in mind so Phase 1 sets the groundwork and doesn’t create expensive rework later (example: run gas/electrical early if a BBQ is planned).
• Make the plan build-ready — we create a clear picture of the finished project with layouts, details, and materials so the install process is smooth and predictable.
• Give you an extremely detailed estimate — our proposals commonly include 20–30+ line items, breaking down costs step-by-step so you know exactly what’s included and why.

How the Design Process Works
Step 1 – In-Person Design Meeting
We meet on site to discuss your goals, style, and how you want the space to function. We’ll typically ask for a few inspiration photos to help define the look.
Step 2 – Plat Plan & Layout
We’ll request a plat plan (usually found in your home’s closing documents or builder files). This allows us to set accurate scale and begin the design process. once a rough draft of the design is created we will have the opportunity to make any adjustments needed via zoom before the final walkthrough.
Step 3 – Design & Estimate Walkthrough
We meet via Zoom for a one-hour call to review the final design and walk through the estimate line by line, explaining exactly what each portion of the project costs.
